2010 design Studies for the on-board HR stereo camcorder for the International Space Station ISS. Designed and build in collaboration with Cosine-Research.
As the camera was a custom build device it had to meet NASA payload requirements regarding use of material, ruggedness, ergonomics and EMC. The body-parts for the ERB-2 test- and flight models where build by CNC-Speedform in Germany. Assembly and integration of the various optical and electronic parts took place in the cleanroom of Cosine-Research. The model was launched in Februari 2011 and has it has been used to by various ISS crews to improve life communication with ground crews. "It's so light it floats":
